The presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Orthodox Church in Uganda Bishop Jucinto Kibuuka, has applauded the president of Uganda his Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for standing firm with the decision on the fight against the evil act of homosexually in the country through all the challenges and the strings attached.
This comes at a time when the world bank has stopped all new loan applications from Uganda, for reasons of signing the anti homosexually bill, noting that it is aviolation of human rights.
While leading the service for the ordination ceremony of 10 priests at Memre international prayer centre, Bishop Kibuuka arged government and officials in authority to continue standing firm against the evil acts to our country. He noted fighting against corruption and extravagancy through eliminating people who embezzle government funds from civil service, will help the government to moblise recourses to carter for the country.
He appealed to government to make sure that there is equal distribution of resources to benefit all citizens equally, as Uganda is gifted with enough natural resources from God, therefore the country can survive without world bank funds, other than surrendering our souls to the devil for the sake of money.
To the ordained priests, Bishop Kibuuka cautioned them to use their calling to spread the word of God to the people leading them to development.
The Chairperson board of Directors Christ the king Seminary Dr. Christian Kakuba urged the newly ordained priests not to stop at skills development among God’s people, but also to work together with them to overcome the challenges they go through, siting poverty, conflicts and violence, diseases, ignorance among others.
The 10 ordinated priests include 3 Deacons, Kijura Nsorro from Kabarole, Moses Lyamoki from Kibuku district, and Christian Katembo from DR. Congo who were ordained priests. These 6 ordained Deacons include Emmanuel Okiria from Katakwi district, Ferdinand Pike Lugobe from Wakiso district, Ben Nakiloyi from Budaka district, Francis Keedi from Butembo district, Moses Kirya from Pallisa, and Jacques Kathembo from DR. Congo. And Kahondo Bakereti Felizziane from DR. Congo professed her first vows as a Nun.
