The Kabaka of Buganda Reshuffles His Cabinet

The Kabaka of Buganda His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the II has ] reshuffled His cabinet as a way of smoothening running of Buganda kingdom duties and responsibilities.

According to the statement issued by the katikkiro, signed by the Kabaka and revealed by the Kingdom spokesperson Owek. Noah Kiyimba, His Majesty the King has put out some of his serving  ministers and appointed new ones.

The statement shows that the Buganda Prime minister Owekitiibwa Charles Peter Mayiga is the Katikkiro of Buganda retaining his office, his first Deputy and minister for administration and information communication technology is Owek Twaha Kawaase Kigongo, the second Deputy Katikkiro and minister for finance, economic planning and investment is Owek Robert Wagwa Nsibirwa.

The Speaker of the Great Buganda Lukiiko Owek. Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule has retained his seat, and the Deputy Speaker of the Great Lukiiko is Owek. Ahmed Lwasa.

The Kingdom Antony General Owek Christopher Bwanika has retained this office and all issues concerning the law, but has been relieved from the office of the Minister for local government, since he is overwhelmed by work concerning the law in his office.

Among the new ministers who have been appointed is, Antony Wamala who has been serving as the Principal for Buganda Royal Institute of Business and Technical Education in Mengo, now appointed as the minister for culture, the palace and security, replacing Owek. David Kiwalabye Male who resigned.

The youth representative in the great Buganda lukiiko Israel Kazibwe has been appointed as the kingdom spokesperson.

Owek. Noah Kiyimba who was the Kingdom Spokesperson is now the minister of the great lukiiko, cabinet and visitors in the office of the Katikkiro.

Owek. Joseph Kawuki has been the state minister for local government now appointed as the minister for local government, Kabaka’s tourism and issues outside Buganda Kingdom.

Owek. David Mpanga who was the minister for special duties has been appointed as the minister for land and buildings.

Owek. Mariam Nkalubo has retained the office of the minister for tourism, water, environment and agriculture.

Owek. Prosperous Nankindu Kavuma who was the minister for education and health in the office of the Nabagereka,  has been replaced by the Owek. Cotilda Nakate Kikomeko

Owek. Haji Hamis Kakomo who was state minster of Agriculture has been appointed as the minister of Agriculture, Cooperation and Business.

In the same way, Owek. Henry Sekabembe Kiberu, who was the minister for sports, the youth and talents has been replaced by Owek. Robert Sserwanga.

All duties start with immediate effect.
