THE SIXTH EDITION WOMEN’S DAY WOODBALL CHAMPIONSHIP CLIMAXED

As the whole World was celebrating the International Women’s day on 8, March , the Woodball federation also celebrated  the Womens day in style by organising the sixth edition of the Women’s day Woodball Championship which was played at Lubiri Nabagereka p/s with only female participants taking part.

The event was disturbed by heavy rain but later continued with different winners awarded with medals and trophies at the end of day.

According to Hassan  S , the head of games department at Lubiri, Nabagereka p/s said  from today om-wards we shall continue participating in the tournaments organised by Woodball federation.

Maria Namulondo, a P7 student at Ahamidiya p/s who was the winner in Juniors thanked the organizers for organising a special tournament for the women.

The winners in different categories were as follows;

JUNIORS

1-Maria Namulondo of Ahamidiya p/s 

2.Fatuma Nayigaga of Ahamidiya p/s

3-Teo Nakabazi of Lubiri Nabagerekka p/s

YOUTH

1-Praise Ahurira of Mpoma ss with 49 strokes.

2-Precious Namubiru of Olan with 51 strokes.

3.Stephanie Lake of St Joseph with 53 strokes.

SENIOR SINGLES

1-Lindah Acio of Ndejje Univ with 105 strokes.

2-Florence Mukoya of MUBS with 112 strokes.

3-Joyce Nalubega of Ministry of Public Services with 68 strokes.

COPERATES

1-Babirye Nalwoga of University of Kusubi with 56 strokes.

2-Phiona Namata of Ministry of Public Services with 68 strokes.

3.Aida Namubiru of Zoe with 68 strokes.
