
Police in Kampala have arrested two suspects who broke into a company office and stole 104 national identity cards that people had deposited as collateral and four (4) million shillings.
It is alleged that on the 03 Sept 23 at around 7:30pm one Kwikiriza Evans 22 years a resident of Katuga East, Mitanda parish, Kiwunga subcounty Ntugamo district stole 104 national identity cards from the safe and 4 millions which he had collected since he was a loans officer at T.M.K loans service in Kanaba-Ndejje Busabala road.
The theft was planned by two people Kwikiriza Evans and Rubogo Sam who was also a former worker in the same campany. The suspect was arrested after a tip-off and flying squad of Kampala Metropolitan police East started following the suspect upto Kanungu-Kihihi where he was arrested with the exhibit in his travel bag.

The two suspects namely Kwikiriza Evans and Rubogo Sam are detained at Jinja Road Police Station.” SSP Patrick Onyango PRO KMP said.
