Two people are believed to have perished in a fatal accident occurred on Monday evening near to Namboole stadium in Bweyogerere division, when a Toyota super custom UAW 813A carrying 6 cooks from Kisaasi lost contral and collided head to head with Taxi UBB 754 H that was carrying 7 people according to the eye witnesses.
By press time, several accident victims were rushed to the hospital in a critical condition and two people were confirmed dead, the deceades were identified as Nassar and Shaffic.
The crowd around the accident scene, exchanged words with the police when arrived to pick the bodies of the deceased, condemning them to have responded late yet the station is near by at Bweyogerere.
It is alleged that those who died may have survived in case the police arrived on time to carry them to the hospital.
According to the area residents , this spot has become a death trap because there is no humps,” therefore we urged the government to act with due diligence before the situation gets out of hands.
