Tycoon Francis Kahwa remanded to prison until next week

Earlier today, Friday August 16, the State House Anti Corruption Unit in liaison with CID and office of the DPP have arraigned tycoon and land baron Francis Kahwa before the Magistrates Court, Buliisa district.

Kahwa was charged with forgery & uttering false documents, making false declarations to various government entities in a bid to grab prime public land measuring 500 acres in Butiaba.

He has been remanded to prison until Tuesday August 20th, 2024, as further investigations are ongoing into similar allegations in relation to how he acquired the huge chunks of land in Bunyoro region.

Court was packed with victims of his actions most of whom thought he will never face the law.
