UCU beat Bugema 4-2 on penalties to clinch their first-ever UFL final

Bugema 2-1 UCU (3-3 agg) 2-4 penalties.

Uganda Christian University are through to the Pepsi University Football League final after a thrilling semi-final second leg match held at Bugema University, that saw the latter come from behind to win 2-1 to send the tie into penalties.


UCU who secured their first ever final, took lead in 44″ after goalkeeper Mayanja Gideon fumbled Kaye Kizito’s low shot.
However Bugema fought back and levelled in 80″ through Mugomba Frank and then getting a winner in the last minute 90+5 minutes through Musiima Isaac, that goal come from a beautiful shot ranged from outside the box to end the tie in a 3-3 on aggregate sending it into penalties, which UCU won 4-2.

UCU Captain Were Derrick saved two penalties and scored one which seemed to have earned him a man of the award.

UCU will now face the winner between St. Lawrence University and Uganda Martyrs the game to held at Nkozi after a ones all in the first leg.
