Minister for Lands, Housing and urban development, Betty Olivie Namisango Kamya Turyoomwe, says will never go back to her former political party Uganda Federal Alliance (UFA) despite more party members want her back.
This comes after the degelates from UFA pettioning the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party Electoral Comission (EC) over Kamya’s nominations and declared as a party flager barer for Lubaga North legislator Kampala district in the forthcoming general elections 2021.
In the Petition UFA urges NRM not to consider Betty Olive Namisango Kamya Turyoomwe, unless she pens her resignation form and turns back party properties and financial documents of the party, and according to the petition, the ruling NRM party electoral commission boss Dr Tanga Odoi, was informed that Namisango is still the serving UFA party president so if they fail to act a law suit will be lodged against NRM and Kamya as aperson for dishonouring political party and organisation Act.
Meanwhile Betty Kamya told the media that UFA embatted and replaced her with other persons, so now her efforts is to make sure that NRM and president Museveni win the coming elections.
Kamya adds that, during her tenure in UFA there was no success so she had to look for the party which has vision, and she has advised UFA members instead elect their president because she moved on.
