Two billions Nine hundred Forty Four millions Two hundred thousand shillings (2,944,020,000) budget passed in the by the delegates of the 2020 Uganda Netball Federations annual General Assembly held on Saturday 29th February Kati Kati Restaurant, Lugogo.
This huge budget is expected to run the country’s Netball day to day duties through out the year including National teams activities.
According to the President of Uganda Netball Federation , madam Susan Anek Ongom , while addressing the media, she thanks the delegates for team spirit exhibited in the last year that has ended.
” I thank everyone for team spirit exhibited in the last year that has just ended. When we all sit and talk one language, we grow taller and fatter . The support that we give to each other’s is making us amazing in performance”, president said.
Netball federation has made successful in 2019, because they managed to participate in the Net World cup in Liverpool, England, where Uganda finished in the 7th position but Stoll holds its 6th position in the World rankings, Africa championship- cape town October 2019-Bronze, holding post of vice president development Africa, league Awards in style and successfully , medals, Souvenirs and cash giving categories, good working relationship with NCS and meeting for development started yesterday at Africa level with INF chair (Maria Bernard) from America.
UNF has also an official office administrator ,Audit books of account in place, additional souvenirs award and have perused through statues and awaits panel beating with the team before coming in to use.
However, the Uganda Netball federation faced a lot of challenges in 2019. Training/ play grounds still not taken care of, proper coordination is still a challenge, sponsorship will hanging through trails are in place and reports should be given especially after an activity.
Late coming for the games from players and umpires, verbal complaints from coaches, late payments from some clubs, not paying league fees by some clubs and Delayed completion of the games as there was a break because the national team had engagement in South Africa during the Africa championship, also are other challenges that affect the federation.
Not only, the Uganda Netball federation also shows the ongoing activities to be done in 2020.
Novice rally, National rally, trainings in various regions, hosting EANA games,March 2020, hosting youth qualification games 2020 May 4th -11th, statues (UNF) finalizing before use, and international Diamond challenge cup inSA November 2020.
