Uganda Para Badminton reaches quarterfinals, some Ugandans managed to reach the stage

As Uganda Para Badminton International set to commence with day four, the tournament is at quarterfinal level.

The tournament which had 35 Ugandans at the beginning, a number of 4 played have managed to qualify for quarters in Singles.

Having 4 players in Singles different classification quarters, there are more Ugandans that have made it to the level in doubles.

With Elizabeth Mwesigwa, Rose Nansereko, Juliet Mary Namunoga and Bashir Mutyaba all categorised in SL3 are already in quarters at their while Latif Ngobi also has a chance to join the through winning his SL4 round of 16 game against Indians’ Suryakant Yadav.

In doubles Godfrey Kato and Latif Ngobi, Brian Mugabe and Ali Mukasa, Flavia Basuuta and Sarah Naziwa are also in quarter while Juliet Mary Namunoga is pairing Indian’s Muntu Kumar since participation is on individual basis.

All quarterfinalists shall have the matches on Friday 5 July at NCS Kampala Arena starting at 9:45. And all quarterfinal winners will be into medal bracket

The tournament which still has some shots of round of 16 with 100 players still in the contention.

India has the biggest number of 50, Uganda has 9, Nigeria and Kenya both has 3 while Brazil, Azerbaijan and Mexico also has at least one or two players.
