URA FC are slated to host Vipers SC at KCCA FC’s home grounds, the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The four-time Uganda Premier League champions were set to host the reigning champions on March 30, at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi, but will now to play host in Lugogo as per the statement issued on Wednesday March 20th 2024 by UPL Secretariat states.’
“The UPL Secretariat is in receipt of a letter dated 14th March 2024 from URA FC notifying us that Mehta Stadium is to be revamped to a cricket facility in preparation for the forthcoming ICC world Cup.
“It’s on this note that URA FC has requested M#168 URA FC Vs Vipers SC be played at MTN Omondi Stadium-Lugogo as they secure an alternative home ground.
Relatedly the Secretariat has made some adjustments to allow the players that traveled on the Cranes squad some recovery time.
