URA returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Bright Stars away at Kavumba Recreation Ground in the Uganda Premier League an early kickoff.

Two first half goals from Dada Ibrahim and Kabon Living’s penalty inspired URA back to winning ways.

The Tax collectors were stunned by Busoga United in the previous game on their return to Mehta stadium to put an end to their perfect start to the second round.

Bright Stars winless run over the Tax collectors now stretches to eight games.

Asaph Mwebaze’s side has now lost their last two games after a 1-0 defeat to UPDF at Bombo Barracks Ground.

The hosts started brightly and Goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi was called into action as early as 3rd minute to stop a Yasin Mugume freekick.

But the visitors later settled in the game as they pressed for the opener and created a number of chances.

Vianne Ssekajuko could have put URA infront but his effort was cleared off the line by Andrew Kyambadde after capitalising on Goalkeeper Sanon Mulabi mistake.

The breakthrough finally came in the 38th minutes when Dada headed home a Viane Ssekajuko lobby cross to give URA the lead.

Kabon doubled the visitor’s lead in the 48th minute from the spot after Ssekajuko was brought down in the forbidden area.

The tax collectors went into the break with two goals to the good.

In the second half, Loki missed a sitter from a nice cross by Nelson Senkatuka to half the deficit.

The visitors also had a share of the chances after Joseph Ssemujju rattled the post following a good solo run.

The hosts once again failed to utilise their chance after Mulindi Ashraf failed to pull one back at the dead and it proved to be the last kick of the game.

The win moves URA to 5th with 26 points in 19 matches while Bright Stars are 10th with 24 points in 18 matches.
