USSSA Qualifiers Kitende Zone: Nkoola’s stoppage time tap in was enough for SMASK to humble Light High in the finals

It was match of vibes from the pitch to the stands with Light High Secondary School looked like a real threat but St Mary’s was found ready for challenge in a match played at St Mary’s stadium Kitende on Wednesday 27 March 2024.

Minute to minute the Giants of Kitende kept growing in the game despite Light High solid defence.

Chances were created by either sides and St Mary’s funding netting two cancelled goals by Ayebazibwe Vincent and Useni Kiza who also hit on woodwork.

On Light High Secondary School Bernard Bagambe, Ali Isabiry and Derick Malinga setting up difficulties for the defending champions.

Both St. Mary’s Boarding School Kitende and Light High Secondary School have qualified to Wakiso region which where they will have to avail for slots to Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association national championship
The regional qualifiers are scheduled to take place on 9th April 2024 with Nadangira Zone hosting.
