Uganda Secondary School Sports Association(USSSA) on Tursday 12th September 2019 recognised by parliament for lifting the overall trophy of the 18th edition of East Africa Secondary School games held in Arusha Tanzania from 15th-24th Aug 2019, and also in being a catalyst for the development of sports in the country.
The parliament also recogonized Directors of private schools in the country particular Dr Lawrence Mulindwa, Justus Mugisha and Lawrence Mwonge of St Mary’s Kitende, Standard High School Zzana and Buddo Sec School respectively for financing and developing Sports in the country.
The motion that was moved by Hon Lydia Chackwel, and was supported by all members of parliament .
Team Uganda won trophies in most of the team sport events and some medals in individual activities as follows bellow:
Basketball boys.
Basketball girls.
Football boys.
Football girls.
Netball.
Badminton.
Volleyball boys.
Medals in Swimming.
Medals in Athletics.
Medal in Tennis among others.
Congraturations to USSSA President Mr Okanya Patrick, FEASSSA president Mr. JUSTUS Mugisha, Haji Hussein Lwembawo, Haji Kitezeera, USSSA GS CHristopher Mugisha and USSSA exco for this achievement.
