Proline (Uganda) Vs Masters Security (Malawi)

at 4:00 pm at Lugog.

Proline fc director Mujib Kasule, while addressing the press conference held at Lugogo on Thursday 8th August 2019 said that , “despite being a young club, little, poor as it is and new at that level, the boys know what we want to play an entertaining and wining football because 80% of the squad members have been together for 13 years, since they were 8 years old, so that gives the team a core coordination at the pitch.

“The boys feel the team at heart and have mastered our style of play which am sure will help them to archive both entertainment and good results come Saturday at continental level as they did at local level, becoming the first Big league team to win Uganda Cup trophy in history and wining a double was not by mistake,” Mujib said.

I thank the government for tremendous support given to the Cranes, but should also come out and give a hand to club owners because clubs are the ones feed the national team and help the government to create jobs for its people especially youth and helping in modeling the youth to become responsible citizens which is supposed to be done by government, “he added.

Noordin Bunjjo the Proline FC captain promised the fans a good match with good results, which will give the a coaches a smile and am sure fans will not regret on Saturday.

“The Masters Security fc players are physical but we shall handle them, and being small like me is also an advantage especially when your fit as we are,” Noordin said.

We learnt a lot from CECAFA , we even played teams with such kind of players, just come and watch us defeating the giants, even my colleagues are equally eager for this encounter,”he added.

Meanwhile, Malawi’s Masters Security Football Club has successfully arrived at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda on Thursday afternoon prior to a continental engagement with Proline this weekend in Kampala.

Aboard Kenya Airways on flight KQ 414, the 25 man delegation touched down at the lake side airport facility at 3 PM ahead of their match with Uganda’s Proline in the CAF Confederation Cup this Saturday at Lugogo in Kampala.

Originally expected in the wee hours of Thursday morning, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Proline and Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) officials.

After checking through the grueling immigration procedure, the players and officials happily trekked to the awaiting vehicle (Uganda Cranes bus) before they were driven to their final destination in Kampala.

Two other people on the contingent (one senior player and the team chairman) will arrive on Friday.

Team captain and goalkeeper Chimwemwe Kumkawala expressed readiness prior to the encounter.

“We have been training well and therefore ready for this match with Proline. We do not know much about them but have a clear picture about Uganda’s football. We expect a good game” Chimewmwe noted.

The club head coach Abbas Ishmail Makawa is equally eager for the game come Saturday.

“We are more than ready to go back home with positive results. We know our opponents play on artificial grass and we are used to the natural grass. That is not advantageous since we have also played on some artificial surfaces in Malawi” Makawa noted.

The Masters Security team players and officials are accommodated at Silver Springs in Bugolobi, Kampala.

They are expected to conduct their final training session on the match eve at the KCCA Stadium, Lugogo on Friday evening.
