Both West Ham United and Manchester United will be bidding to bounce back from defeats when they lock horns at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday night.

The Hammers suffered a 3-0 loss to Manchester City last time out, while Man United were beaten 1-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion, and here MSNEWS Sports rounds up the team news for the two sides.

Champions League hopefuls Manchester United continue their attempt to cement a berth in next season’s tournament at London Stadium on Sunday when they travel to face West Ham United, who find themselves perilously close to the relegation zone.

Manchester United’s last Premier League match saw them beaten 1-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion at The American Express Community Stadium to snap a five-match unbeaten streak, putting them in fourth place on 63 points with five matches remaining. United lead fifth-placed Liverpool by four points for a spot in the Champions League.

West Ham United are in 15th place on 34 points, just four points outside of the relegation zone with four matches remaining. West Ham also lost their last Premier League match 3-0 at Etihad Stadium against Manchester City, their third straight defeat.

When the two sides last met in Premier League action, Manchester United won 1-0 at Old Trafford in October. Marcus Rashford scored United’s only goal in the 38th minute.

Manchester United have got the better of West Ham of late, unbeaten in their last six Premier League matches (W5 D1 L0). West Ham are looking for their first league win in encounters between the two sides since September 2019. United have outscored the Hammers 9-3 during their unbeaten streak.

Delving into the stats for the season, Manchester United’s most prolific player has been Rashford, who has netted on 16 occasions, including seven match-opening goals. The striker ranks fifth for goals scored in the league in 2022/2023.

West Ham have been indebted to Danny Ings, Michail Antonio, and Saïd Benrahma. Ings is the club’s top scorer with eight goals, followed by Antonio and Benrahma with five each.

At London Stadium this season, West Ham have six wins, four draws, and seven losses in 17 Premier League contests. The Hammers have a three-match home winless streak (W0 D1 L2) dating to April 5 against Newcastle United. In league matches on the road this season, Manchester United have seven wins, three draws, and seven losses.

In their last six league matches, West Ham have won two, drawn one and lost three. Manchester United, meanwhile, have won four, drawn one and lost one in their last six.
