WORLD RABIES DAY, UGANDA JOIN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD IN COMEMORATION WEBINAR AS GOV’T TARGETS ENDING IT BY 2023

Uganda joins the world to Celebrate World rabies day. The government of Uganda in partnership with KCCA, The ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal husbandly and other partners have organized the vaccination of all dogs, cats and all other rabies Carriers free of Charge at the event organized at Kasanga field.

Many people are seen starting very early morning to arrive at the venue with their dogs to be vaccinated. The dog walk Uganda have also joined the campaign and they have brought their dogs to Kasanga for vaccination. They said that, they having handled over 80 dogs.

The dog walk Uganda welcomed good plan of government to vaccinate dogs at free coast and they have called upon all people to bring their dogs, cats to be vaccinated.

While speaking to MS news Uganda reporter, Kassimu Rashid a veterinary doctor and the worker of Uganda society for protection and care dogs has encouraged the general public to bring all their dogs for vaccinations for the whole day.

He added, Rabies is a deadly disease which has caused death of thousands of people yet it can be controlled so he urges Ugandans to embrace this exercise. “Uganda is having a goal of ending Rabies by 2030”, Dr. Kassimu cited.
