Youth MPs to hold the fourth youth business forum

As the President of Uganda has continuously encouraged the youth to engage in developmental ventures such as starting up businesses, the youth MPs under their umbrella the Uganda parliamentary forum for youth affairs is set to hold a business forum and expo due to take place on 13/10/2023, and the president of Uganda is expected to officially launch it.

The national youth MP Phiona Namutoro noted that the expo is to take place at kololo ceremonial grounds and they are responding to the Presidents call towards the youth to engage in different development activities so that they can fight poverty among themselves.

She noted that government is working towards supporting the young youth start up investments in the country. She revealed that they are launching the online portal to help the youth showcase their innovation and network with other business people so that they can develop themselves.

Nyamutoro noted that the youth who will be able to be part of the business forum will get a chance to interact with  those people who have made it in business which will help them acquire more business skills so that they apply them and improve on their businesses.

She has called upon the youth to make sure that they engage in this business forum and expo so that they can get an opportunity to show case their businesses so that they can get markets for their goods, thereby earn more money.

Minister Evelyn Anite noted that most of the youth have not benefited from different government programs and therefore emphasized that they will be highlighted about more of these programs during the expo.

This expo has been supported by Uganda investment authority, Uganda revenue authority which has supported it with 10 million shillings and other partners.
