Yusuf Bab-the Former Bombers captain eyes heavyweight world title, narrates his journey in boxing

Former Bombers captain, Yusuf Babu, eyes for heavyweight world title after defeating everyone in East and Central Africa. Babu, who is Uganda heavyweight professional number one boxer, had a chance to talk to our reporter, Juma Ali at lugogo on Saturday March 18 2023 and narrated how his boxing career has been in conversation as follows below;

JUMA: What’s your plan after joining professional boxing?

BABU:To become world champion in heavy weight.

JUMA: Why did you leave amateur boxing?

BABU: Amateur boxing had hypocrisy/Jealousy(fittina) people who used to hate me for nothing.

JUMA: You don’t regret of leaving amateur boxing?

BABU: Even i took long (delay) to leave amateur to join professional.

JUMA: What makes you to be in good shape?

BABU: To train hard and trust ALLAH.

JUMA: Where do you see yourself in 4 years to come?

BABU: To become world heavyweight champion.

JUMA: Who have been your hardest opponent ever faced?

BABU: No one.

JUMA: What thing, you will not forget in your life concerning about boxing?

BABU: Hypocrite” people in boxing, they hate some for nothing.

Babu, a former national boxing team(the bombers) captain who took over from Rogers Semitala, he won gold medal in national league middleweight,  gold medal in national open in middle weight, silver medal in Bigwa wamabigwa in Tanzania, represented Uganda in African boxing championship and lost iat quarter final level.
