UFL: ISBAT University unveils squad for their second UFL season.

ISBAT University has on Thursday 19 September 2024 unveil their 25 man squad and 6 technical officials to take them through 2024/2025 campaign of University football league.

During the unveiling, Sports Tutor, Fahad Musa revealed how his side read to compete for this year’s crown.

“This is the team is going to represent the institution in all competitions but majorly in University Football League

Our journey officially starts today. We are gathered here as competing family

They might take us as under-dogs but our bite is sharper than the lion’s tooth.

This time is to shine, we announce ourselves as sporting giants in the books of university sports”

However, tactician, Edwin Raston is optimistic his side will turn the dirty records to escape group stage and feature in this year’s knockout.

“We believe that we’re going to put up a good performance.

Regardless in the debut season last year, ISBAT failed to register a single point and waived out of the league on a worsed note.

“This time round we have depth in the squad with lots of changes especially in the playing staff” .

Last time we had few players, only 18 compared to the current 25.

The awarding of scholarships to all player is another motivation this year, we hope for sublime performance”. Raston the Gaffer further stated

ISBAT University is in group A with the reigning champions, Nkumba University,Islamic University in Uganda and Busitema University.

The Lugogo bypass stationed University is poised to start the League against holders Nkumba University.
