The NRM National Treasurer, Amb.Barbara Nekesa has praised the party’s Chairman for Namutumba district Hajji Gusongoirye Siraj for his exceptional contribution to the development of the people of Busoga subregion.
Hon. Nekesa commended the Chairman on Sunday as she graced his thanksgiving function Organised at Ivukula town Council headquarters in Namutumba district to thank God for enabling him to live an impactful life to the NRM, Busoga and the country at large.
“Hajji Gusongoirye is one of our fighters in the NRM party. He is a committed cadre to the core ideological values that the party stands for,” Nekesa said.
“Hajji for many years has been champion of unity, prosperity and wealth creation within the population by living as an example to community,” Mrs Nekesa added.
She challenged other leaders and the population to borrow a leaf from Gusongoirye, an advocate for better service in education, health services, infrastructure among others, ” this is the only a way everybody can be empowered to live a better life.”
Nekesa reminded the locals to fight poverty in their households through the Parish development model, Emyooga, the four acre model among other government initiatives.
“I wish to thank you all for the support you give to the NRM. It has given the party an edge in the political field.
I encourage you to work as a team so that the party can continue delivering on its manifesto,” she said.
