Buganda Premier visits Buganda Royal Institute of Business and technical studies in Mengo


Katikkiro of Buganda Owek Charles Peter Mayiga calls upon the governing board and management of Buganda Royal institute of business and technical studies to set plans for the future of the institute so that in a period of 50 years from now, the institute will be at a different level.

He delivered this message while touring the Buganda Royal Institute of Business and technical studies in Kakeeka Mengo, a visit that was aimed at looking at the running of business in the institute.

Katikkiro said that however much the Kingdom is proud of the institute, the level where it is, is not enough urging the management and all people working at the institute to work hard towards its excelling to fulfill the Kabaka’s objectives of starting this institute.

Owek Mayiga appealed to the workers at this institute to make sure that they don’t burden the institute Principle with all the responsibilities of working towards the success of the institute but to work together to see that the institute shines as the success of the organisation depends on the employees’ attitude towards work.

However, Owek Mayiga challenged the employees and the management to look beyond the challenges they face but look at working as ateam, towards the institute well being so that their sweat can be witnessed in future.

The institute Principle Owek Joseph Balikuddembe Ssenkusu, reported to the Katikkiro that the institute prepares youth in Buganda and Uganda to work, fit in the job markets and job creation.

During the visit, Owek Mayiga toured the classes for the vocational training lessons such as saloon, catering, mechanics, journalism, make up, among other classes.

He was accompanied by the Minister of Education, health and the office of the Nabagereka Owek. Cotilda Nakate Kikomeko, and other people.
