FUFA pays 30M arrears in prize money to FUF Beach Soccer League clubs

Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has on Tuesday, 2 confirmed payment of prize money worth 30 million Uganda shillings to FUFA Beach Soccer clubs for the previous two seasons 2021/22 and 2022/23.

FUFA wired funds to Uganda Beach Soccer Association Account for distribution after clubs consented the long waited funds go throw league organizers (UBSA), a total of 30M has been remitted to the 10 clubs that played in the 2021/2022 and as well 2022/2023 season with each receiving according to the position they finished the season.

It should be noted that the current figure (15M) per season, this was introduced in 2021, after a big improvement from the meagre 5M that was availed and was meant for the champion and runners up only.

This therefore means that St. Lawrence BSC who were crowned champions last four consecutive seasons to the lions share and even MUBS BSC and KIU now defunct came received their 2021/2022 season share. But it should be noted that, clubs are still hopeful of getting the 2020/2021 season prize money of 5M which is not paid yet.

The champions, St. Lawrence University received 9M for both seasons, Jinja Lions got 3.9m, Buganda Royal Institute got 3.5m, Mutoola BSC received 2.65M, Grace Church BSC got 1.9M, Kiringente BSC 1.9M, Wolves BSC 1.9M, MUBS got 1.75M, Makindye Ssabagabo (MS)Sand Lions BSC 1.25M, Kampala International University(KIU) BSC 1.25M,

Other funds were distributed among individual award winners, those include, Top scorer, MVP, Fairplay and Best coach.
