Mityana Modern SS celebrates 25 years of excellence

On 29 June 2024, the renowned Mityana district based Secondary school, Mityana Modern celebrated silver Jubilee.

The celebration were held at School Campus in Mityana Municipality Agepe zone, minister of Land and Urban Development Hon. Judith Nabakooba graced the occasion as chief guest.

Hon. Nabakooba thanked the school director for the establishment of this school in this area which has helped to teach the citizens of Mityana and greater Mubende at large as well as thanking the school administration for enhancing quality education and behaviours to our children and the community at large.

While giving his remarks, Retired Mukwenda Godfrey Mbalire the school director appeared vibrant over the milestone tapped by Mityana Modern ss.
“It is God’s grace for making 25 years, over those years we have been the best in our area, we have got recognition all over in Uganda, we have guided over 40 students on average to government points ever since we placed a level.

Owek. Mbalire Further highlighted more successes for Mityana Modern SS, “the 25 years did not went in vein, it enabled us to build a strong science department which is a big achievement to celebrate”

Mukwenda Godfrey Mbalire is a celebrated figure in education and sports field having a specialised mathematics teacher and a football administrator.

The celebration was also graced by Rt. Rev. Dr. Bukkomeko, the Bishop of the Diocese of Mityana, Local government leaders among other dignitaries.
