Motor Southern club has launched the 2023 event by introducing Hajj Gombe and Toyota stages as new stop over included in the rally.
The event is announced to take place on 20-22 October at two venue in Gomba Bukandula and closing in Ssembabule.

While addressing media at the. Launch hosted at La Livre Makerere Kavule COC Shafik Matovu confirmed that “The race shall have first stage with a 24KM stage Kabenge Kanoni followed by an 18KM Festo stage.

The race shall commence with a Super Stage of 1.5 KM a double lane drive at Kabenge Hill before getting to new Toyota Stage which is 12KM and Hajj Gombe an 11KM stage before going back to usual Lugusulu which is measuring 18 KM”

The entire race is totaling 292KM 80% Competitive and 20% slow.

At the some platform, the Deputy vice president Keys Kibira has emphasized allot on road safety “It’s 100KM from Kampala to Gomba and 70KM from Gomba to Ssembabule that is over 300Km of travel, Therefore I argue our people the fans, drivers and official to pay attention to traffic guidelines”

The event which stands 6th on national rally championship has come late to decide on championship top spot which is already taken by Yasin Nassar on 499 points thought it will have key statements on the second position of the NRC with Ronald Ssebuguzi at 250 points, Ibrahim Lubega at 238.5, and Dancan Mubiru at 233 points hustling for the spot.
