Katikkiro of Buganda Owek Charles Peter Mayiga has appealed to government to use the best medication to one of the assailants who was among those who murdered the Sheep clan leader the late Eng Daniel Bbosa on Sunday 25/02/2024 so that he can be interrogated about the murder.
This assailant Noah Luggya narrowly survived mob justice after they killed the late Eng Daniel Bbosa and tried to escape, when Lungujja residents chased and beat them until one was killed and now all eyes on the survivor to reveal the intentions behind the murder.
During his visit to the mourners, Owek Mayiga praised the late Eng Bbosa for being calm and noted that the kingdom is set to appoint a new chief to replace Eng Daniel Bbosa as they wait for the final word from the Kabaka.
Convenor of clan heads in Buganda Kingdom Omutaka Augustine Kizito Mutumba has revealed that plans for the burial of Eng Bbosa are underway as the clan chiefs have started meetings to go through the right procedures and follow the right cultural steps for his Burial.
During these meetings, the clan chiefs receive the detailed information about the deceased from the clan Katikkiro such as the full names, the widow’s details, the village, Subcounty and County of residence, the period of time he has spent in this position, his achievements within and outside the clan among other details.
Mutumba appealed to Buganda people to be patient with the Kingdom to go through the right procedures to get to the final Burial program, as they have to respect and follow the right cultural norms and procedures.
