Rugumayo still in lead after 36 holes

The under Lake Victoria Serena Kigo club Ronald Rugumayo stayed in lead with 8 under 136 total gross after 36 holes  at Uganda Golf pro Open.

Rugumayo start his second round at Back 9 where he faced a Bogey on Hole 18 after registering only one Birdie came on number 13 and scored level par on 10, 11, 12,14,15,16 and 17.

He finished with the front 9 were also faced another Bogey on Hole 7 but managed 4 birdie on 1, 3,5 and 8, keeping par on 2, 4,6 and 9 to finish up 3 under par (69) by the end of second round he said

“I am happy to remain in the lead after two rounds. I improved my putting on day two but did do well to hit the greens. Heading to the third day, I need to do even better”

On Round one Rugumayo led by 5 under par after managing 13 par and 5 birdie to stand where other knelt due to wet Weather.

Celestine Nsanzuwera of Rwanda today 26th October performed better than Leader Rugumayo grossing 68 to make his total gross on 137 a 7 under using 36 holes.

Fort Portal based David Kumulindwa is standing 3rd 6 under confirming no change on top 3 entering into much serious rounds cutting off lower perform by yard sticking on 2 over 74 grossers and under as the only qualified ones to play the remaining two rounds.

Ronald Otille and Rwandese Jules Dusebe are among the big names left out of the cut while Amateur champion Godfrey Nsubuga and runner up Ibrahim Bagalana managed to hit under the cut.
