UMC LAUNCHES FORTPORTAL RALLY, SCHEDULED FOR NEXT WEEK

The last and seventh round of the National Rally Championship has been launched today, Wednesday November 15th at Fig Tree Restaurant Kasanga in Kampala.

The championship will be held next week from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th November 2023 in Fort Portal tourism city. Uganda Motor Sport (UMS), will organise this last event on the NRC calendar.

The launch event was attended by Paul Kabali,  who is the president for Uganda Motor Sport,  Alfred Kagoro,  who was the chief guest, Badru Ssebunya, Uncle Shemi Senkatuka, Muhammad Bwete,  a.k.a Dadiyo and Busulwa Fred Kitaka represented the rally drivers.

According to Joshua Mayanja,  who is the clerk of the course (COC),  said that this year, a total distance of 238 km will be competed  which make up five competitive sections.

The rally will start with a scruitengineering on Friday, November 24th at Fan City in Fort portal and on Saturday,  rally cars will be flagged off at Kalya courts hotel in Fortportal where three sections will be competed in day one.

On Sunday,  for day two,  four sections will be competed.

Raymond Kibira,  official from FMU,  urged all rally fans to come in big numbers in Fortportal because it will be an exciting event.

Busulwa Fred Kitaka,  warned his fellow rally drivers for this rally that he is well prepared and also urge fans to come in big numbers.

Paul Kabali,  one of the youngest president in sports fraternity when addressing the press,  he hope the event to be good and call all fans to attend.
