Deo Kasozi Akiiki, chairman of Kitara fc reveals that their target this season in Uganda Cup is to reach the last 8 teams (quarter finals). Kasozi went on to say that reaching the semi finals or winning the Uganda Cup will be a bonus but their main focus will be on the Uganda Premier League because they are still more chances of winning it.

“As Kitara team, our target this season is to focus more on the League than Uganda Cup”, Deo states.

According to Deo, the reason why they cannot compete more in League and Uganda Cup is the budget which cannot allow them to compete more in League and Uganda Cup.

According to Deo, they have 300 million to run the whole season and if the Bunyoro people wants the team to compete in both, they should add on the budget at least 500 million.

Kitara fc, currently are in third position with 29 points, and they are four points behind table leaders Bul fc.
